TAMESIDE Council is encouraging local people to receive support and explore new employment opportunities at its Spring Jobs Fair.
Employers attending include Tameside & Glossop NHS, Hyde Group, Metroline, Army Royal Artillery, and many of the council’s own teams.
There will be a wide range of services at the free event, on Wednesday, April 1.
Between 10am and 1pm, residents of all ages can come along and drop in at Dukinfield Town Hall.
Held twice a year, the Jobs Fair aims to link local people with available part-time and full-time roles from a variety of sectors that can be applied for on the day, providing benefits for both employers and those looking for new positions.
There is also training, support and skills providers who will be on hand to help people with their employment journey – including the in-work progression support provided by ‘Tameside In Work’ and the supported employment service ‘Routes to Work’.
Support on offer includes CV advice, job application guidance, and interview support, to help residents best secure new positions.
“I’m thrilled that the Jobs Fair is returning after the huge success of previous events,” said Councillor Leanne Feeley, Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture.
“I encourage anyone interested to take advantage of the valuable opportunity to speak directly with employers and receive advice from experts. Come along and let us support you in finding a role perfect for you.”
