PEOPLE in Tameside who look after a loved one are being encouraged to take part in the National Adult Carers Survey, which aims to gather views on the support available for unpaid carers.
From Monday, October 20, a random selection of residents who provide informal or unpaid care to a partner, family member, friend or neighbour will receive the survey through the post.
The questionnaire has been designed to find out more about carers’ experiences — including how well local services support them in their role, how caring affects their daily lives, and their views on services received by the person they care for.
Cllr John Taylor, Tameside Council’s Executive Member for Adult Social Care, said:
“If you look after a loved one and this survey lands on your doorstep, I really urge you to take part. Your feedback will help us to understand the impact caring has on you and make improvements to local services.”
Anyone with questions or who would like more information can contact Tameside Carers Centre, based at The People Place, Tameside One, Ashton-under-Lyne (OL6 6BH).
