
BRIDGE FEST ACTS 2025 – a brief description of each act
ANTHONY Blends a range of pop and indie hits into a genuine unique sound. The front man for his own band, here he appears again at Bridge Fest with his solo act.
BOBBY JAMES BAND The formerly known Bobby James Band are now performing under the new name Proma; a developing indie rock band, this group will be playing covers of classic rock hits this Bridge Fest, though keep your eyes peeled for some originals on the way.
CARLA MELLOR Carla is a spoken-word poet from Yorkshire. Her powerful poem ‘A Kingdom United’ circled social media in 2020 and she has since published her poetry collection SCRAPS, and worked on a variety of commissions. Her verse is down to earth, familiar and accessible.
CAUGHT IN THE NORTH Have appeared at Bridge Fest for the past two years. A great band who play Indie sounds with a real northern twist.
CHRIS BRAATEN You might have heard Chris recently at Street Feast, he auditioned for us this year and boy, are his rock and hill billy self-pinned songs worth a listen! Singer songwriter playing original country/blues songs with an indie edge.
COLIN One of Bridge Fest’s returning favourites, Colin has been a success in past years and continues to dazzle crowds now. Expect a great reception for his bluesy tunes, Motown covers and smooth, joyful singing.
COMPANY OF STRANGERS Another band who have appeared at Bridge Fest before, 3 experienced musicians from a variety of musical styles plus a very talented lady on vocals. They are Classic Rock all the way; you can always be guaranteed a good night of excellent music.
DAN McGLASHAN Dan plays a wide range of covers including pop and indie vibes. Accomplished, cool and tuneful, he’s a great solo sound.
DYLAN PRESTON Local solo singer/songwriter just released his first EP, a fresh local sound.
ENJO SWING BAND ENJO is an acronym for an English Jazz Orchestra. They are a multi piece swing big band that perform classic swing and Latin music. A really unique sound that Bridge Fest are really chuffed to have. Please listen out for them, you won’t be disappointed.
FINN DALE Singer songwriter playing original country/blues songs with an indie edge.
HAYLEY & PAUL Hayley auditioned for us this year with her Soul Sounds choir, but here she appears with her partner as a perfectly crafted cotemporary duo. Originally from London, what is their loss is our gain!
IZZI AND JASON This local duo from Tameside have been performing acoustic covers at events all over Greater Manchester for the past year. Izzi’s powerful vocals coupled with Jay’s dynamic guitar create an exciting sound that brings a young and unique twist to crowd favourites.
JACK COLLINS Jack Collins is a poet and educator brought to us from Leeds, whose writing and performance draws from the oral traditions of the North, inciting a need for shared hope and warmth. Recently he has collaborated with EMI North, Solar Sounds and Deer Shed Festival, and is now excited to bring his work to us at Bridge Fest.
JACK DOYLE Jack Doyle is a thirteen-year-old talented guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist with a passion for rock! Jack brings electrifying raw talent to the stage, so don’t miss out on his sensational set.
JACKSON Has built a strong local following with his solo singer songwriter style. Indie and pop covers that you won’t want to miss.
LEXI Nine-year-old Lexi is a talented young performer who attends Oldham Theatre Workshop and Next Generation in Mossley, where she undertakes singing, drama and theatre classes. Lexi covers modern pop music, musicals and film playlists, adding her unique personal twist to everyone’s favourite tunes.
LP (Leighton) Came to us through our ‘Bridge Fest’ auditions, a real find. Singer songwriter who has already rocked the Civic at The Royal Exchange’s Den night. Covers a wide range of artists from Prince to the Happy Mondays. Don’t miss him!
OUTSIDE THE BOX Outside the Box are an exciting, Scottish-themed folk/bluegrass band with three-part harmonies, spirited trad and other shenanigans. Catch their set for a guaranteed good time!
PARK 56 A three-piece traditional Indie Rock band from Saddleworth, formed in 2024, known for their energetic performances, wailing guitars and witty banter, similar to the style of Oasis and The Stone Roses. Bound to be a future hit band.
PATRICK THE POET. He’s a performance poet and his name is Patrick. What more is there to say? ‘Don’t miss him!’ That’s what!
ROCK CHOIR They have been a Bridge Fest hit from our first year in 2022. A harmonised choir who give you belting pop and rock hits – ‘the UK’s original and award-winning, local, contemporary choir experience’.
RORY TYLER Rory sings and plays the guitar doing mostly Indie Pop covers whilst building his own repertoire too.
SOUL SOUNDS CHOIR Auditioned for us this year and they really add to our choir offer at Bridge Fest, an adult contemporary, soul music-based choir performed timeless hits such as ‘I can see clearly now’ and ‘Get ready, here I come’. Get ready to be soulfully relaxed.
- JOHNS BRASS BAND (MOSSLEY) 4th Section Champions, Buxton 25 and a regular on Whit bands night, established in 1934, they have played an integral role in the Mossley community spanning over 90 years. They believe in universal access to music, irrespective of age, religion, race, or financial status and deliver a traditional, brass band repertoire. Bound to get Bridge Fest off to a great start.
THE CHERRY HINTONS The Cherry Hintons charm Bridge Fest with their Bluegrass, Old Time and Country with a generous helping of acoustic rock and pop classics. This group are guaranteed to deliver with their organic, good-time music.
THE UKULELE BAND Pop hits given a unique, contemporary, not to say community, twist. A great sound that does what it says on the tin.
