Tree-Mendous festivities light up Mossley this Christmas

MOSSLEY is shining brighter than ever, thanks to the Christmas Tree Festival.

Visitors explored the dazzling display of trees, enjoyed  refreshments and soaked up the atmosphere of this tree-mendous occasion.

Organised in partnership with the town’s community centre and St john’s Church, Roughtown, the event has brought together local businesses, schools and residents for a celebration of the festive season.

The festival features an array of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, each sponsored and decorated by a local business and schoolchildren from the area.

Among the participants, Mossley Hollins High School has decorated a tree on behalf of The Tameside Correspondent.

A Community Effort

Businesses such as Pattisons Butchers, Mossley Football Club, Emmaus and more have played an instrumental role in sponsoring and supporting the festival.

Notably, Anthony Barton Funeral Services contributed a special memorial tree located at the entrance of St John’s Church. This tree has provided a opportunity for attendees to leave heartfelt messages for loved ones.
