IT’S already beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and one Tameside theatre has lined up two cracking shows to help get you in the festive mood.
The Adamson Military Band and The Radcliffe Male Voice Choir will be special guests at Guide Bridge Theatre, providing a musical extravaganza.
Last year’s concert by Adamson sold out quickly last year so the voluntary wind band based in Dukinfield are doing two performances this year.
Tickets for one of those on Friday, December 13, are virtually gone but there are seats available for the Saturday, December 14, matinee at 2pm.
Doors and bar open 45 minutes earlier and tickets are £12, which can be bought online at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/gbt/e-jbrgex
Audiences can expect classic Christmas tunes and a few surprises, with mince pies and mulled wine also on offer.
The band, established in 1888, is looking for people who have played a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument to join the group.

That’s followed by a ‘Christmas Cracker’ organised by the Audenshaw-based theatre, which promises a show ‘full of mirth and merriment, music and hilarity all wrapped up in a bow’.
A popular seasonal show ideal for those feeling post-panto blues, there will be festive family entertainment featuring The Radcliffe Male Voice Choir.
There are two opportunities to enjoy it – on Friday, December 20, at 7.30pm and Saturday, December 21, at 2pm.
Tickets, which are £10 with the option of a seasonal sandwich, are still available online at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/gbt/e-xjbady
