Paws for coffee at Denton rehoming centre

COFFEE, cakes and canines are back by popular demand at a rehoming centre in Denton.

Dogs Trust Manchester is inviting dog lovers to pop along, enjoy refreshments and meet some four-legged friends in need of new forever homes.

The Coffee Morning will take place on Sunday, September 1, from 10am to 1pm at the centre on Parkway (postcode M34 3SG).

Staff at the centre were delighted with the response to their last event in April, when more than 80 people came along.

“It was fantastic to meet so many local people who wanted to find out more about us and how they could get involved,” said organiser Nicola Hardman, Supporter Relations Officer at the centre.

“We also raised an incredible £420, which was an added bonus!

“As well as meeting the team and having the opportunity to ask questions about how we look after more than 80 dogs on site and find them forever homes, there will be rehoming parades in the indoor agility ring so that people can see some of our dogs in action, find out about the type of homes they need and maybe they will find their perfect doggie match.”

At the Coffee Morning, visitors can also grab a bargain at the doggy nearly new stall or buy some Dogs Trust goodies such as mugs, hats, doggie treat tins or umbrellas.

There is no need to book in advance, you can just turn up on the day.
