POLICE have charged a man in connection with an attack in Ashton-under-Lyne.
A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after officers were called to reports of a stabbing on Broadoak Road.
It happened close to the Broadoak and Smallshaw Community Centre, at around 10.50pm on Saturday, August 3.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed on Friday, August 9, that Andrew Hill, of Pottinger Street in Ashton-under-Lyne, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
The 39-year-old was remanded in custody following an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court.
He will next appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on Thursday, September 19.
