POLICE have appealed for information after a man was believed to have been stabbed in an Ashton-under-Lyne attack.
The 24-year-old was left with serious injuries after the incident on Broadoak Road, close to the Broadoak and Smallshaw Community Centre, which took place at about 10.50pm on Saturday, August 3.
Greater Manchester officers admitted they had received reports of a man with stab wounds.

Now the force has asked for anyone who has any information of what is described as an ‘isolated’ incident to come forward.
The man was taken to hospital, where he is described as being in a stable condition after sustaining non-life threatening injuries.
And Detective Inspector Christopher Dean, from GMP’s Tameside district, said: “We are seeking anyone who has information about this incident to please get in touch.
“This sort of violence has no place on our streets and officers are investigating this incident as we work to seek justice for the victim.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via 101 or gmp.police.uk, quoting log 3561 of 03/08/24.
“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
