An impressive display of skill and determination saw Thomas come out on top on his proclaimed home circuit, much to the delight of the 10-year-old’s family and friends.

The youngster from Hyde clinched pole position, recorded the fastest lap and earned two race wins to claim maximum points, as he sets his sights on the 2024 title.

The GKL UK, founded by former Formula One Ferrari engineer and director Rob Smedley, serves as a platform to nurture grassroots racing talent into future motorsport professionals.

Smedley’s vision extends beyond national borders, aiming to establish a global network of karting championships where national champions converge to compete internationally.

Having already been sponsored by local Hyde business Rhino Events, Thomas remains on the lookout for additional support to fuel his promising motorsport career.

His journey towards claiming championship glory can be tracked on his social media accounts under tjracing20.
