RETURNING this May, the Pride of Tameside Business Awards ceremony promises glitz and glamour and will be co-hosted by popular TV stars Danny Miller and Daniel Jillings.
The Pride of Tameside Business Awards organised by Tameside Council are made possible by sponsorship and support from a wide range of fantastic local businesses with the aim of highlighting the amazing people and businesses helping to drive the local economy across Tameside.
Over the last month businesses have been nominating themselves for categories including the Creative Business of the Year, Manufacturer/Engineering of the Year, Construction/Property Business of the Year, Childcare/Social Care Business of the Year, and nominations close at Midnight tonight (Wednesday, April 3).
Award hosts Danny and Daniel are no strangers to the TV screens, Danny is known as the iconic Aaron in Emmerdale, a character he has played since he was 15 years old, in addition to being crowned ‘I’m a Celebrity’ 2021 winner. And Tameside resident Daniel has appeared on our screens in soaps Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and TV drama’s PREY, Four Lives, as well as Netflix film Enemy Lines.
They are also co-founders of the children’s bereavement charity Once Upon a Smile. In 2019, they opened Sidley House, Greater Manchester’s only dedicated children’s bereavement centre.
About the Pride of Tameside Awards Daniel and Danny said: “We are thrilled to be named as hosts for this wonderful evening and we look forward to seeing everyone on the night.”
A Tameside Spokesperson said: “We are really looking forward to the award ceremony but it’s also about celebrating our fantastic businesses. So, if you have not nominated your business yet you will need to be quick as nominations close at midnight tonight. Tickets for the awards ceremony will be on sale very soon.”
