Woman arrested in Mossley murder probe

A WOMAN has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a man in Mossley.

Thomas Campbell was found dead at a house on Riverside after officers were initially called out on Sunday, July 3 after reports for the concern of the welfare of a person.

Now the 38-year-old is being questioned by the Greater Manchester force after being brought in today (Wednesday, July 13) on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Stephen Cleworth, 37 and of Charles Street, Heywood, has already been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

He will next appear on 15 August at Manchester Crown Court.

But despite that and the further arrest, the investigation – led by detectives from GMP’s Major Incident Team – remains open and active.
