IT was a case of ‘Hey ho, Lego’ as some of the most talented creators in the area descended on Mossley.
The town’s Methodist Church played host to the inaugural Mossley Bricks event on Saturday, May 14.
And hundreds of people who saw what can be done with what is normally considered a toy with a series of brilliant exhibits.
A fully-functioning fairground, a model of Blackpool Tower and farms were on show as well as models of classic cars from TV and films, including Ghostbusters, Back To The Future and Mr Bean.
The show, operated by Northern Brickworks, had a serious side as it was organised by Valerie Lee of Mossley Cancer Committee, who is also a member of the group.
As well as bringing in funds through the small entrance fee, it was hoped seeing what could be done with Lego would attract younger members.
And it raised an astonishing £1,012, which is being split evenly between the Methodist Church and the Cancer Committee.
