Dukinfield and Stalybridge Rotary Club made a real difference at the heart of the community by cleaning up.
That is not to say there was any competition to be won, rather volunteers got out their brushes and shovels to make an area look better.
Focussing on Carrbrook’s Crowswood Estate, more than 30 bags of rubbish were collected in the session, with people amazed at how much had been swept up as it was gathered at the YouCan Community Garden.
Those who got out and about also added to the Easter fun by helping the Raja Bros store on Huddersfield Road with an egg hunt.
There was some reward for those who helped out on the day as everyone who gave up their time received a chocolate treat.
Dukinfield and Stalybridge Rotary also donated hampers to elderly residents, containing fruit and veg and, of course an Easter egg.
