MEMBERS of Tameside Rotary Club did their bit to make Easter as cheerful as possible by delivering gifts.
Sherry, biscuits, chocolates, fudge and flowers were handed to Louise Schofield at Sandon House Care Home in Mossley as they put a smile on faces,
Tameside Rotary also presented gifts to staff at Stamford Court, Stalybridge and The Lakes Care Home, Dukinfield to help make their residents’ Easter a little bit brighter.

Tameside Rotarian Julie Nield forged links with all of Tameside’s care homes during a campaign to provide robotic cats.
It has been so well received, Sandon House now possesses another cat, as well as a robotic dog, which helps their dementia patients.
Tameside Rotary President Angela Robbins said: “I wanted to give Easter treats to older people this year and staff were keen to point out that sherry went down well in at bedtime and wine with the evening meal!”

Community chair John Moon also helped deliver the gifts but Tameside Rotary’s events do not end there.
