STUDENTS at Ashton Sixth Form College used their artistic flair as they remembered the fallen by creating a giant poppy sculpture.
The centre’s art and design department worked with its Chaplain and the Royal British Legion to produce a collaborative art piece.

That saw the team work with students and staff to construct the installation which was added to by all it community.
And the Royal British Legion donated a number of smaller poppies which were used on the piece.
Situated outside the art and design building, it formed the centrepiece of Ashton Sixth Form’s Armistice Day service, which saw a gathering of remembrance in the courtyard on November 11.
