ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE MP Angela Rayner, has faced a grilling of a different kind – from sixth form students.
The Labour politician visited Laurus Ryecroft in Droylsden to meet them and answer their questions on politics and current affairs.

She took part in a question-and-answer session with students, discussing a range of topics, from how she first got into politics to how social media could be made less toxic.
The visit gave students the opportunity to put their questions directly to their local MP and discuss issues that matter to them.
Ms Rayner also announced the school’s new Student President.
She said: “School visits are my favourite bit of the job, and I always enjoy the range of questions from young people in my constituency.
“It’s great to see them so engaged and interested in current affairs.”
