Kick off the festive season at Willow Wood Hospice’s Christmas Fair

LOCAL families are invited to kick off the most wonderful time of the year with some festive shopping, a visit to see Santa and much more at Willow Wood Hospice’s Christmas Fair.

The hospice is getting ready to spread some Christmas cheer as its much-loved Christmas Fair returns to Hyde Town Hall for the third successive year.

Taking place on Saturday 7th November, from 11am to 3pm, the event promises a festive day out for all the family, with a host of stalls, seasonal treats and entertainment including games, all while raising vital funds for patient care.

Visitors can browse a range of unique gifts, handmade crafts and festive goodies, while there will also be tasty treats to enjoy from the Jingle Bell Café.

The Willow Wood Hospice Choir and Mossley Ukulele Group will provide live entertainment, while Santa and Willow Wood’s mascot, Woody, will be on hand to bring some extra Christmas magic.

The Civic Mayor of Tameside, Councillor Helen Bowden, will also be in attendance.

Tracey Schofield, Events Lead at Willow Wood Hospice, said: “We’re delighted to be returning to Hyde Town Hall for our Christmas Fair, which brings our community together and gets everyone into the festive spirit.

“We’ve got a lovely day planned, with fantastic stalls, festive treats and entertainment. With Santa joining us too, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

“Most importantly, every penny raised will help us continue providing compassionate, dignified care and support for local people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families.

“Please come along if you can – we would love to see you there.”
