And it will bring a selection of non-traditional bridalwear, gothic-inspired designs and dark romance styling to the town.

The boutique has been created by founder Pam Smith to cater for what she believes is a growing demand for wedding fashion outside the traditional white dress.

The new space will offer black dresses, colourful gowns and bespoke alternative designs, with collections from designers including Bête Noire, Island Bridal Curve and Indie Bride London.

Alongside its alternative approach to bridalwear, Coven & Court aims to offer an inclusive shopping experience for customers who may find traditional bridal boutiques difficult to navigate.

The boutique describes itself as fully inclusive, trauma-informed and neurodiverse-friendly, with its interior designed around a speakeasy and dark academia aesthetic.

Pam said: “We wanted to create a space for nearlyweds who feel overlooked by the traditional wedding industry.

“Not everyone wants a standard white dress, and they shouldn’t have to compromise on their personal style for their wedding day.

“Coven & Court is about offering high-end, alternative fashion in an environment that feels authentic, inclusive, and entirely stress-free for our clients.”
