Ashton firm looks to make job interview process much easier for companies

AN ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE firm believes it can bring a way of cutting time in one of the most frustrating processes of landing a job, interviews.

For Renari Assessment Ltd has employed a new model when it comes to that most testing of trials.

Renari Assessment founder Jennifer Jackson hopes her firm can bring a new method when it comes to job interviews.

Billed as ‘interviewing as a service,’ it sees a network of recruitment professionals, career advisors and technical specialists work with the firm, which is based at Ashton Old Baths.

Each candidate is assessed against the same criteria and scored based on what is needed for the job.

Written evidence of what was said or demonstrated is also provided in reports that are sent within 24 hours.

Basically, it is taking the interview process away from the firms and providing an independent viewpoint and simply it is a case of: “We do the interviewing. You do the hiring.”

Renari’s founder, Jennifer Jackson, said: “I built Renari because I could see there was a gap in the market.

“Businesses are struggling to keep their interview process fair and structured, and they are looking for new ways to reduce bias.

“Candidates need the kind of advice Renari gives them.

“Beyond what we provide to businesses and candidates, I want to build a human-led business that relies on the talent of the people in it.

Jennifer’s firm is based at the Old Baths in Ashton-under-Lyne.

“We intend to be outcomes focused, and to give people a safe and interesting place to grow their careers.”

The company does not decide who reaches the shortlist, nor uses AI to score or screen applicants.

And already its way of working is a hit, as Robbie Tyrie, founder of Torridon Cyber, said: “Having spent many years building and leading cyber teams, I’ve seen first-hand how important it is to look beyond someone’s CV and job title.

“Technical knowledge is important, but so are problem-solving, curiosity, communication and the ability to think critically.

“Renari’s approach to structured, evidence-based interviewing is a welcome step towards helping organisations recognise talent and giving capable people opportunities they might otherwise miss.”

Renari is seeking companies looking to hire or who feel too much time is spent on the interviewing process.
