A POPULAR community event is returning to Hyde this weekend following the success of its launch earlier this year.
The Community Day will take place at Hyde Market Hall on Saturday, October 3, from 11am until 3pm, with a programme of free family entertainment.
Among the attractions will be the chance to meet R2-D2, while a Planet of the Apes gorilla will also be making an appearance.
There will be free face painting alongside further activities throughout the day.
A number of organisations working across the area will also be attending, giving visitors the opportunity to find out more about the services and support available locally.
They include The Grafton Centre, Prime Active Communities, Anthony Seddon Fund and Tameside Little Gems.
The event follows the launch of Hyde Community Day, which brought families and local organisations together at the Market Hall.
Organisers are now hoping people will once again head into the town centre for a day celebrating Hyde and its community.
