A DENTON pub is set to reopen after a refurbishment costing more than £300,000.
The Coach and Horses, on Hyde Road, will welcome customers again on Thursday, September 3.
And they will see a much different premises under the supervision of Carol Mitchell and Dave O’Casey.
Inside, the refurbishment includes an updated lounge, bar and dedicated games area, giving customers plenty of places to relax, socialise and enjoy a drink.
A brand-new pool table and darts board have also been added, offering more entertainment for regulars and new customers.
Sports fans will also be well catered for, with five TVs installed throughout the pub showing Sky and TNT Sports.
Outside, the Coach and Horses will also benefit from brand-new festoon lighting and signage, creating a fresh and welcoming appearance.
The beer garden will also feature a TV, allowing customers to enjoy live sports. There will also be seating for approximately 50–70 people at the rear of the garden, with space for a further 20 customers at the front.
Reopening will also see a wide range of drinks promotions, including Wine Wednesday, where customers can get £2 off a bottle, Fizz Friday, offering customers a bottle of fizz for £10, along with cocktails, bottle and shot deals throughout the week.
To celebrate the opening weekend, the pub will have live entertainment including a piano act by Adi the Piano Man playing from 7.30pm on opening night, a drag night on the Saturday from 8.30pm and karaoke on Sunday from 6pm.
There are future plans to have weekly quiz and bingo nights and there will be an open mic night every Thursday. The pool team will also be playing every Monday evening from 8.30pm.
The operators are also hoping to support all aspects of community life by collecting food to donate to the local foodbank.
Going forward, they also hope to support Claire House Children’s Hospice through organising charity events.
