DROYLSDEN’S Laurus Ryecroft proved A-Level success is not just a one-off as its second ever cohort achieved great grades.
More than half of students who are heading to university have secured a competitive place at Russell Group and Top 25 universities in the UK, including Durham, Lancaster, Leeds, Loughborough, Manchester, Nottingham and York.
Three-quarters of all achieved at least one A*-B grade at A Level, with more than half receiving two or more.
Overall, the sixth form at the Lumb Lane establishment achieved a 99 per cent A-Level pass rate and a record A*-C rate.
Notably, many subjects were awarded 100 per cent A*-C rates including: Business, Economic, English Language, Geography, Media, PE and Psychology.
Furthermore, many subjects achieved outstanding A*-B grades, with multiple subjects achieving more than 80 per cent A*-B rates
Notable successes include Matilda, who has secured a place to read Biology at the University of Manchester after securing exceptionally high A Level grades.
Laurus Ryecroft’s previous sixth form student President, Holly (pictured), has secured a highly sought after place to study Veterinary Medicine at the prestigious University of Nottingham.
Finlay will be studying History and Politics at Lancaster University after receiving exceptional results.
One friendship group are celebrating their results and all will be heading to a range of destinations, including Russell Group universities.
Gio will be heading to his dream University of Loughborough to study Psychology.
Laurus Ryecroft’s year 12 AS Further Maths students also excelled with an impressive 86 per cent A*-B and a perfect 100 per cent A*-C, reflecting the hard work and dedication of both students and staff.
