A HYDE firm has looked local for its next key appointment.

For James Kay has been named as group head of business development at Besseges, the fast-growing fire sprinkler and national facilities management group.

Tameside lad James Kay has landed a high-ranking role at Hyde firm Besseges

In what is described as a ‘pivotal growth role for the business’, the Tameside lad will be responsible for spearheading the future growth strategy across the business’ two divisions – Besseges Fire and Besseges FM.

The business stated: “The appointment marks a significant milestone for the group as it looks to capitalise on its unique position in the market.

“Besseges Fire brings a remarkable 50 years of brand heritage and trusted industry expertise, while Besseges FM has achieved incredible, rapid growth in its first three years of trading.”

And Mr Kay highlighted the unique market conditions that make this an ideal time for the group’s expansion.

He said: “Recent consolidation across both the facilities management and fire and security sectors has created a distinct opening for independent, energetic, and nimble service partners like Besseges.

“The company’s best-in-class service ethos, family-like culture, and ambitious growth plans are exactly what attracted me to the business.

“I am thrilled to join a team with such a strong foundation and cannot wait to get started and contribute to our future successes.”

Andy Prendergast, chief operating officer at Besseges, added: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome James to our leadership team.

“His deep understanding of the industry landscape and his drive for sustainable growth make him the perfect fit for Besseges.

“As we look to build on our 50-year heritage and our recent rapid expansion, James will play a crucial role in taking our business to the next level.”
