A SENIOR site manager from Hyde has been recognised with one of the housebuilding industry’s highest honours.
Ryan Brunt has been named a winner at this year’s National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
Ryan, who works for Bellway Manchester, received the award for his work at the company’s Trilogy development in Tyldesley, where a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes are being built.
It marks the second time he has received the accolade, having previously won both an NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award and a Seal of Excellence.
The NHBC awards, now in their 45th year, recognise the country’s top-performing site managers. Of the approximately 7,500 site managers inspected by the organisation each year, just 449 receive a Quality Award.
Judges assess every aspect of site management, including leadership, attention to detail, technical expertise, health and safety, consistency and the overall quality of the homes being delivered. Regular spot checks are also carried out throughout the construction process.
Ryan was one of seven Bellway Manchester site managers to receive the award this year and will now progress to the next stage of the competition, where judges will decide the Seal of Excellence and Regional Award winners later this autumn.
Speaking after receiving the award, Ryan said: “It is a great achievement for the team and me. There is a high level of expectation from the NHBC, so winning this award is testament to the hard work we deliver daily and a customer focus at all times.
“Trilogy is a very busy site with high levels of output, yet we have managed to consistently maintain good practices, which I am extremely proud of. Having won the award previously, this time posed differing challenges to achieve success due to the large numbers of houses we have had to deliver comparably, while remaining true to Bellway’s high standards with our Trilogy team.
“Of course, I am incredibly proud to have led this and am equally so pleased that we could deliver such an outcome for our business. It’s a superb accolade and I’m thrilled to have received another Pride in the Job award.”
