Girls from 2nd Mossley Rainbows and Brownies rolled up their sleeves this week to help make their community cleaner by joining forces with the Mossley Litterbugs team.
On a warm summer evening, the young volunteers collected bags of litter from the Market Ground and the surrounding park, helping to keep the popular community spaces looking their best for everyone to enjoy.
After their hard work, the girls were rewarded with well-earned cold drinks and ice pops in the park. Staying true to the message of the evening, they made sure every wrapper, and bottle was disposed of responsibly before heading off to enjoy some well-deserved fun in the playground.
The litter pick highlighted the importance of caring for the local environment while encouraging the Rainbows and Brownies to take pride in their community.
