The episode took viewers along parts of the local canal network, including routes through Hyde, Dukinfield and Ashton, while exploring the stories and heritage that have shaped the area.

One of the key moments saw council curator Michelle Hill, from Portland Basin Museum in Ashton-under-Lyne, sharing the history behind the 1917 Ashton Munitions Disaster and its devastating impact on the local community.
