Tameside young people invited to ‘Explore Your Future’ at careers support event

YOUNG people across Tameside are being encouraged to take the next step towards their future at an event offering advice and support on education, employment and training opportunities.

‘Explore Your Future’ will welcome 16 to 24 year olds who are unsure about what direction to take and want practical guidance on the options available to them.

The drop-in event will take place on Thursday, June 18, from 2.30pm to 5pm at Tameside One (Level 1), on Market Place in Ashton-under-Lyne.

It will bring together careers advice, training support and information about local opportunities.

Attendees will be able to speak with qualified careers advisers and representatives from local organisations, with help available for those considering their next steps.

Information on current apprenticeship vacancies with Tameside Council will also be available, alongside advice on opportunities through Tameside Futures.

The informal session does not require booking and is open to anyone looking for personalised advice – whether they are thinking about returning to education, starting training or finding employment.

Cllr Leanne Feeley, Tameside Council’s Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, said: “This event is a great opportunity for young people in Tameside to explore their options, build confidence and get clear, practical advice on their next steps. Whether they’re considering education, training or employment, we want to help them find a path that’s right for them.”
