BURGER King has announced when its only restaurant currently in Tameside will open at Ashton Moss Leisure Park.
Work on the new site has been progressing steadily, with the building’s external signage already in place for several weeks.
To mark the grand opening, burger fans will be able to get their hands on free Whoppers on Friday, May 22 from 9am.
The new Burger King will sit alongside Taco Bell, which opened its doors at the park in September last year, and add to the area’s fast-food offering.
Plans for the American fast-food giant to come to Ashton-under-Lyne have been known for more than two years.
The restaurant at Fold Way has a drive-thru and will also offer a delivery and takeaway service.
Until recently, the nearest Burger King option for many was the drive-thru in Glossop but that site closed last year.
