BMWs targeted in early-morning Stalybridge break-ins

POLICE are investigating a spate of vehicle break-ins after three BMWs were allegedly damaged on a Stalybridge street in the early hours of the morning.

Greater Manchester Police said that a man was reportedly seen breaking into parked cars on Fern Bank Road and causing damage.

The incident happened at around 1.20am on Thursday, March 26.

Officers have released an image of a man they want to speak to as part of their enquiries, believing he may have information that could help them.

Residents in the area have been urged to check any CCTV, doorbell footage or dashcams that may have captured activity around the time of the incident.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log 1073 of March 27. Reports can also be made via the force’s LiveChat service.
