A COMMUNITY club in Stalybridge has raised more than £2,000 for charity following a successful fundraising event.
Members at Stanley Square Conservative Club collected an impressive £2,084 during a charity afternoon extravaganza held in March, with proceeds split equally between Willow Wood Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event featured a packed line-up of live entertainment, with performances from Paul Eden, Guy Manrin, Jamie Jay and Jason D Luis helping to draw in crowds and boost donations.
Committee member Rachel Williamson praised the efforts of everyone involved, thanking those who supported the event and contributed to the total.
The funds raised will go towards supporting vital care services for patients and families, marking another strong show of community spirit in the town.
