A LONG-AWAITED arrival is taking shape at Ashton Moss Leisure Park, as Burger King prepares to open its first restaurant in Tameside.
Work on the new site has been progressing steadily in recent weeks, with the building’s external signage now firmly in place.

With the grand opening appearing to be ever closer, it may not be long before burger fans can finally get their hands on a Whopper without leaving the borough.
The new Burger King will sit alongside Taco Bell, which opened its doors at the park in September last year, and add to the area’s fast-food offering.
Plans for the American fast-food giant to come to Ashton-under-Lyne have been known for more than two years, and the development now appears to be entering its final stages.
While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, it is understood the restaurant will feature a drive-thru and operate from 6am through to midnight.
Until recently, the nearest Burger King option for many was the drive-thru in Glossop but that site closed last year.
The Correspondent has contacted Burger King for further information.
@ggc_media I spy with my little eye…. Looks like Ashton Moss is getting ready for new visitor…
