Tameside care company steps in after hospital’s Easter appeal

A kind‑hearted care company from Tameside has come to the rescue after Tameside Hospital issued an online appeal for Easter egg donations, saying it had been “let down” at the last minute.

Wayne and Karen Heap, who run Extra Help Tameside and Glossop, responded quickly to the call for support, delivering a selection of Easter eggs to the children’s paediatric ward.

Their gesture ensured young patients at the hospital would still enjoy a chocolate treat over the Easter weekend, despite the shortfall in expected donations.
