Beatrix Potter-inspired Flower Festival to bloom at Willow Wood Hospice

The much-loved Flower Festival is set to return to Willow Wood Hospice this spring, marking its 10th anniversary with a new theme.

Taking place on Saturday May 9 and Sunday May 10, the popular event will this year be inspired by the magical world of Beatrix Potter, bringing her much-loved characters to life through creative floral displays.

Visitors can expect imaginative arrangements inspired by favourites such as Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck and Mrs Tiggy-Winkle, all carefully crafted by local individuals and community groups.

Set within the hospice’s gardens, the festival offers a chance to enjoy a relaxing day while supporting an important local cause.

Many of the floral displays will also be available to purchase, helping to raise vital funds for patient care.

The event will run from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday.

Entry costs £3.50, with all proceeds going to the hospice, while children aged 12 and under can attend for free.

Light refreshments will be available throughout the weekend, giving visitors the chance to enjoy tea and sweet treats as they explore the displays.

Due to limited on-site parking, visitors are advised to use nearby pay-and-display facilities where possible.

Organisers say the milestone event promises to be a celebration of creativity, community spirit and compassion, with every arrangement helping to support the work of the hospice.
