The initiative aims to ensure local children and families facing hardship can still enjoy a treat over the Easter period.

Organisers are asking for donations of Easter eggs, which will be distributed to those accessing support through the food bank, which is based on the grounds of Empire Spares, Leech Street.

The appeal highlights the growing demand on community organisations and the importance of small acts of kindness in supporting local people.

Residents who are able to contribute are encouraged to donate and help spread some Easter cheer to families who need it most.
