Donations of new and good-quality used baby clothes, as well as new socks and underwear, nappies, wipes and baby toiletries, will be passed to the charity’s baby bank in Denton.

Home-Start HOST supports parents across Tameside, Oldham, Stockport, Bolton and Glossop, with trained volunteers and staff offering practical and emotional help. Its baby bank provides clothing and essential items for babies and young children whose families are facing financial hardship.

Amanda Allwood, at the Ashton-under-Lyne branch of Yorkshire Building Society, said: “We are proud to be able to support Home-Start HOST’s Baby Bank in our community in Ashton-under-Lyne and beyond, and we really want to help make a difference to those that are in need with our collection station.

“Items can be dropped off at the Ashton-under-Lyne branch until March 31, and we are grateful for any donations, large or small.”

Donations can be dropped off at the branch between 9am and 4.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 9.30am to 4.30pm on Wednesdays; and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays.
