PEOPLE from Tameside looking to make their own way in business will have the chance to show off their skills.
For the Tameside Means Business Enterprise Festival will be the place where they can demonstrate what they can offer.
Bringing together local entrepreneurs, support organisations and industry specialists for a day of ideas, learning and collaboration, the showcase at Stalybridge’s Victoria Market Hall will hear from guest speakers and see workshops alongside a range of exhibitors.

The spin-off from GM Business Growth Hub’s Festival of Enterprise on Friday, January 23 is aimed at start-ups, entrepreneurs, sole traders and the self-employed.
As well as three dedicated workshops, people will have the chance to promote their business in a ‘Pitch Your Business’ session.
Hosting the event is EnterprisingYou, GM Business Growth Hub’s flagship support programme for the self-employed and startups in the region.
So far, it has helped more than 4,000 entrepreneurs and small businesses and helped create £13.6 million of revenue across Greater Manchester since 2020.
Yvonne Sampson, head of enterprise at GM Business Growth Hub said: “We’re on our fourth year of Festival of Enterprise and we’re really excited to be expanding the festival to involve local events like this one in Tameside.
“Running a business or being self-employed is really hard, but if you allow yourself even just a few days for yourself this year, it should be the Festival of Enterprise events.
“I guarantee you’ll come away feeling inspired and ready to do business in 2026.”
Tameside Means Business Enterprise Festival is being delivered alongside Tameside Council’s wider business support, building on the success of their monthly networking sessions and business surgeries with GM Business Growth Hub.
Councillor Andrew McLaren, deputy leader and executive member for growth, housing and homelessness, added: “Enterprise and innovation are at the heart of Tameside’s economic future.
“The Tameside Means Business Festival of Enterprise will help give local businesses and give people the confidence, skills, and connections they need to help them turn their ideas into thriving businesses.
“We’re proud to support this event and celebrate both creativity and ambition across our borough.”
