Award for Tameside entrepreneur who transformed her life and business

AN ENTREPRENEUR from Tameside who has overcome a series of challenges has been recognised on a national stage.

For Kerry Boland, coming out on top in the Women in Business – new Business category at the SheInspires Awards represents far more than a trophy.

“I rebuilt my life and business from the ground up, this win reminds me how powerful resilience, integrity, and belief can be,” she said. “My mission is to show others that sustainable success is possible when you lead with purpose and heart.”

Kerry won the Tech Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Women in Tech awards in September

The recognition marks her second major achievement this year. In September, she was named Tech Entrepreneur of the Year at the Women in Tech Awards in Birmingham.

Her journey to this point has been far from straightforward. Four years ago, Kerry lost her home just months after leaving domestic abuse and losing her job.

On the day of her SheInspires judging interview in August, she was in the middle of moving house – a moment she described as emotionally significant, closing one chapter and beginning another.

Despite the upheaval, she refused to rearrange. Judges later said they were astonished she even made it – and even more impressed by the impact of her work.

Kerry’s Sellethical methodology has supported hundreds of business owners in generating millions in collective revenue while championing ethical, purpose-driven growth.

The approach has now inspired a full-scale event, Sellethical Manchester, set to take place in March next year.

The judging panel offered high praise for her contribution: “This winner is fearless and purpose driven. She has turned adversity into ambition. Her community-centred approach redefines business growth through collaboration, confidence and pure compassion.

“A visionary mentor and a change maker, she builds networks that don’t just function, they flourish. She proves that when women lead with heart, that success becomes a shared story.”

Now in its 11th year and spanning 41 countries, the SheInspires Awards highlight women making a significant difference both locally and globally.

Kerry’s story – shaped in Tameside, driven by resilience, and now resonating nationally – continues to inspire women rebuilding their lives and businesses.
