A NEW contemporary art exhibition has opened at The Nico Ditch in Ashton-under-Lyne, showcasing work from artists across the local area, the UK and overseas.
Beyond the Frame launched at the venue on Bow Street, with around 60 people attending the opening event.
The exhibition runs until February 1 and is open during The Nico Ditch’s usual opening hours.
The show brings together 13 artists working across a wide range of media including painting, textiles, video and found objects.
Themes explored in the exhibition include conflict, community, nature, the digital world, personal resilience and the different ways individuals respond to challenges.

Beyond the Frame highlights a shared choice among participating artists to step back from the distractions of everyday life and focus on what matters to them, using their work to reflect on personal and collective experiences. The exhibition positions visitors as part of the ongoing conversation expressed through the artworks.
Anyone interested in contemporary art, local creativity or diverse visual storytelling is invited to visit before the exhibition closes.
