A FAMILY business in Hyde is celebrating a major milestone this month.
Warm Front Limited, based on Captain Clarke Road, is marking 20 years of trading.
Founded in 2005 by CEO Andrew Walton, the company has grown from a small local operation into a trusted name in both renewable energy and sustainable upholstery, long before “going green” became the trend it is today.
“We’re incredibly proud to reach this milestone,” said Andrew. “The world has changed so much in the past two decades, but our values haven’t. We’ve always believed in doing business responsibly – taking care of our customers, our team and the planet.”

Warm Front helps households reduce their carbon footprint through renewable energy installations, as well as restoring and reupholstering furniture using eco-friendly materials, giving old pieces a new lease of life rather than sending them to landfill.
Many employees have been part of the team since the early days and Andrew says the company’s family-first ethos and commitment to providing long-term local employment has been at the heart of its evolution.
As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, Warm Front has been reaching out to the community by working with local schools and groups to promote sustainability education.
Activities have included tree planting, creative workshops, and renewable energy demonstrations aimed at inspiring young people to think differently about the environment.
“Twenty years is an incredible achievement for any small business, but especially one that’s chosen to do things the right way – sustainably and locally,” Andrew added.
“We’re proud of our roots and even prouder of the impact we’ve made.”
