The Cathodes

Formed in 2020, The Cathodes are a four-piece band from the Tameside area, influenced by the distinctive melodies and sounds of the 1980s, with touches of 1960s pop woven in. Although a relatively new name, each member brings years of live and recording experience to the stage.

Signed to Creative and Dreams Music Network, LLC®, the independent label founded by former EMI executive Fred Cannon, The Cathodes continue to build their reputation across the region for their vibrant performances and catchy synth-driven sound.

Supporting act Mistrust- the project of musician Tim Blackburn – combines the pop sensibilities of ABBA with the electro edge of OMD, Gary Numan, Joy Division and early Human League. Blackburn is also set to perform later this month in Liverpool, supporting Ultra:Foxx, the Ultravox and John Foxx tribute band.
