Charity comedy night set to ‘laugh the roof on’ at Hyde theatre

A NIGHT of laughter is heading to Hyde Festival Theatre later this month – and it’s all for a good cause.

Three acclaimed comedians will take to the stage for a special fundraising comedy night called Laugh the Roof On.

The event on Saturday, October 25, has been organised by Amit Mistry, a product manager and stand-up comedian from Mottram, who will also act as Master of Ceremonies on the night.

Amit, 32, is raising funds for Crisis UK, a national charity dedicated to ending homelessness and supporting people experiencing it.

On November 21, he will fly out to trek 100km across the Sahara Desert with a group of colleagues as part of his challenge.

On stage in Hyde, he’ll be joined by Peter Otway, Phil Ellis, and Seeta Wrightson – all of whom have appeared on major platforms including the BBC and Channel 4.

The show takes place at the Corporation Street venue, with doors opening at 7pm ahead of an 8pm start.
