New session to find out more about Stalybridge’s regeneration

FURTHER information on work happening to improve Stalybridge town centre will be available to the public at a drop-in session.

Big plans for the area will see it transformed, with many more residential properties being built.

And as proposals are prepared, people in the town will be able to find out more about what is lined up and give feedback.

The improvement of roads and pedestrian areas is a key project area to have been identified for the Government-funded Stalybridge Capital Regeneration Programme.

That aims to enhance the town’s public spaces and attract visitors to support local businesses, highlight Stalybridge’s cultural heritage and attract further investment and growth.

Part of that also includes the regeneration of the cultural quarter and heritage assets and preparation of sites at Stalybridge West for residential development and investment.

People can visit the session at Stalybridge’s Civic Hall on Wednesday, October 15 between 2pm and 7pm.

Alternatively, feedback can also be provided by email at stalybridge.regeneration@tameside.gov.uk.

The proposals will be available online following the session at www.tameside.gov.uk/stalybridgeregeneration .
