A TAMESIDE-BORN comedian, actor and broadcaster is bringing his critically-acclaimed show to the Manchester Opera House.
Justin Moorhouse will be on stage on Sunday, November 9, for ‘The Greatest Performance of My Life’.
Directed by Henry Normal, the show is described as being a warm, funny and often moving exploration of what it means to ‘perform’ – not just on stage, but in everyday life.

For Justin, who has spent more than two decades making audiences laugh across the UK and beyond, the Manchester date of his nationwide tour holds special significance.
‘The Greatest Performance of My Life’ blends stand-up, storytelling and personal reflection, touching on everything from unforgettable gigs to family life and the roles people play during challenging times.
“The show is about the times where we’re all performers, no matter what we do for a living,” said Justin.
“Even as a performer professionally, in real life I still have to perform. It’s all about how, as a comedian, I’m not very well-equipped to deal with real life. I end up performing in tragic situations, so there’s a bit of sadness in there, there’s a bit of fun in there and there’s some family stuff in there.”
The show’s title takes inspiration from a classic Shirley Bassey song – a nod to the theatrical flair that runs through Justin’s work.
While the themes are thoughtful, Justin says laughter remains at the heart of everything he does.
“The first thing they can expect is a good laugh, because what I want to make sure that I’m doing more than anything is making people laugh,” he said. “I feel like it’s a big privilege to do this job and to take people’s minds off whatever they may be going through.”
