STALYBRIDGE Celtic Football Club’s superb form last month has earned their manager an accolade.
Jon Macken has been named the Step 4 Manager of the Month for September.
Celtic enjoyed a perfect month in the league, collecting nine points from a possible nine in the Northern Premier League West Division.

Impressive displays saw them defeat Trafford 6-4, Darlaston Town 6-0 and Sporting Khalsa 1-0.
It wasn’t just league success that caught the eye as Celtic made progress in the FA Trophy, beating Trafford 2-0 before losing 3-0 at home to Lower Breck.
The Bower Fold outfit also pushed National League North outfit Chester all the way in the Emirates FA Cup, narrowly losing out 2-1 after conceding an 89th-minute goal.
Macken claimed over half of the more than 2,000 votes cast to beat fellow nominees Craig Elliott (Bradford Park Avenue), Dave McNabb (Bury) and Dave Stringer (Rugby Borough).
Third-top Celtic will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Kidsgrove Athletic when welcoming lowly Congleton Town on Tuesday night (October 7).
Step 4 of the non-league football pyramid encompasses the Isthmian League South Central, North and South East; Northern Premier League East, West and Midlands; and Southern League Central and South.
