FAMILIES are in for a spooktacular treat this month as Ladysmith Shopping Centre transforms into a den of creepy crawlies and ghoulish fun.
The Ashton-under-Lyne centre will be hosting a free Halloween event on Thursday, October 30, from 10am to 3pm.
It invites visitors to come face-to-face with a range of weird and wonderful creatures – from snakes and lizards to tarantulas and more.
It’s not just the animals getting into the Halloween spirit either, as children can enjoy free face painting and be transformed into their favourite spooky characters – whether that’s a wicked witch, ghastly ghost, or mini monster.
Centre Manager Ian Pratt said: “We are thrilled to bring this special Halloween event to the community. It’s a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy a memorable day out. We look forward to welcoming everyone for a day of ghoulishly good fun.”
Expert handlers will be on hand throughout the day to introduce the animals and share fang-tastic facts about each species – making it both a fun and educational experience.
While all activities are free, visitors are encouraged to make a donation to Ladysmith’s charity of the year, The Anthony Seddon Fund, which supports mental health in the community.
Representatives from the Ashton-based charity will also be at the event to raise awareness of their work.
There is no need to do anything in advance, you can just turn up on the day and join in the fun.
