No Hyde-ing from success and exam results delight

PUPILS at Hyde High really have taken things to a new level with their GCSE results.

For they have produced a significant increase in the number of top grades, with many students achieving a string of 9s and 8s and the overall pass rate reaching new heights.

Nerves soon gave way to celebration as teenagers attended the Old Road establishment to collect their eagerly awaited envelopes.

There has also been significant progress made by students of all ability levels, with many exceeding their targets and securing places on competitive college and apprenticeship courses.

And headteacher Georgina Arnold expressed immense pride in the achievements of both students and staff.

She said: “I could not be prouder of our students and the incredible results they have achieved this year.

“Their determination, resilience, and sheer hard work have truly paid off. I also want to thank our dedicated staff who have gone above and beyond to support every learner – these results are a testament to their tireless commitment.

“This is a moment of real celebration for our whole school community.

“We’re not only celebrating grades, but the journeys our students have been on.

“Each result represents growth, ambition, and a step closer to their futures. We couldn’t be more thrilled.”

Hyde High School’s GCSE success marks a fitting end to the academic year, as the school continues to grow its reputation for academic excellence and student support.

Phil Wilson, chief executive of the Tame River Educational Trust, has praised students across it for their outstanding achievements in this year’s GCSE examinations.

He added: “On behalf of the Trust, I extend my warmest congratulations to all our students.

“Their results are a testament to years of dedication, resilience, and hard work. We are immensely proud of what they have accomplished.

“I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to our staff and governors, whose unwavering commitment and support have been instrumental in guiding our students to success.”
