POLICE were called to Stamford Street in Stalybridge on Thursday, August 7, following reports that a body had been found.
A number of officers were seen in the area shortly after 5pm.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed to The Correspondent that a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The force added that there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, which has been referred to the coroner.
