THERE will be new faces serving up tasty treats and drinks at a community centre in Ashton-under-Lyne.
The 4C on Taunton Road has unveiled who will be taking over the running of its café.
Nice Buns Bakery is a family-run bakery business in Stockport – which currently has two shops open to the public and also offers trade accounts to businesses and the catering industry.
Led by Claire Cope, the team is expected to open its doors in the new café in mid-August.

Josie Kemp, General Manager at 4C Community Centre, said: “Following a competitive application process and some inspiring conversations with local entrepreneurs, Claire stood out for her passion, creativity and strong commitment to community values.
“Her business, Nice Buns Bakery, is already well known for its delicious bakes and friendly, welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect fit for the 4C.
“We can’t wait to welcome the community back for great coffee, fresh food, and a space to connect and relax.
“We’re excited about this new partnership and the role the café will continue to play as a vibrant hub within our centre.”
The centre, adjacent to Christ Church, is open throughout the week to a number of community groups and offers room hire for organisations, as well as hosting events.
Nice Buns Bakery takes over the café reins from Eclectic Avenue, who finished trading on July 26 after four years at the centre.
As The Correspondent reported recently, the owner put it down to financial challenges exacerbated by an unexpected spike in utility costs earlier this year.
