Taco Bell reveals plans for Ashton-under-Lyne branch

TACO Bell has been revealed as the future occupiers of one of two new drive through units at a leisure park.

The fast food giant has applied to Tameside Council to have its signage placed at what was the Eat Inn Chinese buffet restaurant at Ashton Leisure Park, which has been divided.

Burger King has long been known as one of the occupiers, but Taco Bell’s request for planning permission answers questions over the other.

It will be situated in the unit closest to Hollywood Bowl and franchisee Blue Bell Foods, of Ilkley, West Yorkshire, has applied to fully brand it.

That would see two sets of Taco Bell lettering, three of its Bell logos and a hanging neon Taco Bell arrow.

It would also be placed on the signs outside the retails park and at its front.

Drive through ordering equipment, menus and a height restrictor would also be put in place if planning permission is granted by Tameside Council’s Speaker’s Panel (Planning) committee.

New air conditioning and cold room condenser units have also been applied for.
