AN INAUGURAL jobs and training fair in Hattersley saw more than 100 people seek advice and support about their careers.
Co-organisers Tameside Council have hailed the recent event a success.
Organisations such as Hyde Group, Home Start, Robertsons and more were in attendance at Hattersley Hub to connect potential candidates with live vacancies.

Residents from across the borough who went along were also able to pick up tips for their CV, interview tricks and advice on how to fill in job applications to better equip them to land a new role.
The fair at the Stockport Road venue was organised by the local authority’s Employment and Skills team, in conjunction with social housing provider Onward Homes.
“It was excellent to see such a great turnout for one of the first Jobs and Training Fairs in Hattersley,” said Councillor Leanne Feeley, Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture.
“We truly hope all attendees found it useful and beneficial in some way. These events are essential in creating a space to help connect our residents with great opportunities.
“There was lots of support and advice available for attendees, so it was fantastic to see so many people get involved.”
